Partial list of the Officers and Crew of the frigate Trumbull compiled from “Statement of Claims”

The following partial list of 26 Officers and Crew of the frigate Trumbull is compiled from the “Statement of claims which have been adjusted and allowed at the Treasury Department…on the 27th of March 1792” and published beginning page 387 in American State Papers (1834). Each man’s rate, date the claim was adjusted to and amount of claim is noted. The date noted is the last date of pay. Those noted as paid to 2 June 1780 were killed in Trumbull’s engagement with the Watt. Those noted as paid to 14 April 1781 were captured while serving on the frigate Confederacy. The frigate Trumbull was taken by the British warships Iris and General Monk on 28 August 1781. A second simplified and alphabetized list follows for ease of internet browsing.
